Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions

1. What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based healthcare model where patients pay a monthly fee for unlimited access to primary care services. This allows for longer visits, personalized care, and direct communication with your doctor without the need for insurance.

2. How is DPC different from traditional healthcare?
Unlike traditional healthcare, DPC eliminates the middleman (insurance companies) for primary care services. This means no co-pays, deductibles, or surprise bills for the services covered under your membership.
3. Do you accept insurance?
No, we do not bill insurance for our services. However, we do feel it is important and recommend that you maintain an insurance plan for emergencies and specialized care outside the scope of DPC.

4. Can I still use my insurance for other medical services?
Yes! You can use your insurance for specialists, hospital visits, or other medical services not covered by your DPC membership.

Specialized Services
13. Do you offer labs or imaging services?
Yes, we are able to order your routine and preventative labs. These orders will be sent to your lab of choice and you are encouraged to use your insurance to cover these services. If you do not have insurance coverage, we have partnered with several local labs in the area who are able to provide you with discounted and affordable rates. When it comes to imaging such as x-rays, CT scans, MRI or mammograms, we can coordinate discounted rates for these additional tests when necessary.
14. What about prescriptions?
When prescribing medications, we understand that cost is a huge factor on whether or not a patient is able to take these medications. We will always take cost into account before recommending any type of treatment. If you have insurance coverage, we will ensure that whatever medication is being prescribed will be covered by your plan. If you do not have insurance, we will always choose the most efficient, yet affordable medication option for you. We can also work with local and online pharmacies to help reduce costs.

15. Can you manage chronic conditions like diabetes or hypertension?
Absolutely. Managing chronic conditions is a core part of what we do, and we provide personalized, ongoing support for your health needs.
